Assistant Manager - Corporate Sales (Hospitality Industry) Full-Time

Job Role

  • Develop and implement corporate sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
  • Identify, acquire, and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel management companies, and key business partners.
  • Manage and grow existing corporate accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Conduct sales visits, presentations, and negotiations to secure corporate contracts and preferred partnerships.
  • Prepare and submit sales proposals, quotations, and agreements in line with company policies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Reservations, Front Office, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery for corporate clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, account performance, and customer interactions using hotel systems and CRM tools.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and account reviews for management.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, networking functions, and corporate meetings to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive account management and timely issue resolution.
  • Support the Sales Manager in achieving departmental objectives and overall business goals.

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in hotel sales, including a minimum of 2 years in corporate sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and successfully managing corporate accounts.
  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of corporate sales processes and business development strategies within the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems such as Opera, IDS, or similar platforms.
  • Strong network and established relationships within the Sri Lankan corporate sector.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and convert leads into long-term partnerships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet challenging sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, customer-focused, and results-oriented mindset.
